Jim Thatcher

Began his career at age 16. Studied and played with my uncle Gerald Thatcher. Then principal horn of the National Symphony of Mexico. Later worked with the  Utah , Phoenix Symphonies, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

After devoting his career to free-lance work, he has done a number of classical orchestras along with over 600 movies and many television programs and record dates  (Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand etc.)
Jim currently combine recordings with 20 weeks of classical music, including solo work and clinics worldwide.
Notable teachers were Vincent Derosa, Fred Fox, Wendell Hoss, Don Peterson and Hermann Baumann
