Richard Edwards

Richard Edwards is one of the most versatile trombonists. His career has spanned all areas of the business from live jazz, classical and TV performances to records and film scores.
He is renowned for his stunning jazz solos and his versatile musicianship.  
His numerous film credits include Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Bridget Jones, Shrek, Shark Tale, Curse of the Were Rabbit and Mrs Henderson Presents.

He has performed and recorded with some of the biggest stars and jazz/big bands in the business including Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Carla Bley, George Russell, Hermeto Pascoal, Georgie Fame, John Surman, Duncan Lamont, Michel Legrand, Louis Bellson and Bill Holman.  He has recorded with artists such as Working Week, Jamiroquai, Sting, Level 42, Mcfly, Joni Mitchell, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones and Elton John.  As a classical player he has performed with the London Sinfonietta, LPO, LSO, RPO, BBC SO, City of London Sinfonia and Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.  

He has been a member of London Brass since 1991and is a Professor of Trombone at the Royal College of Music.
