Bob Sanders grew up in Southern California. He began studying the trombone in at the age of 11.
His teachers have included Donald Kimble, Jeff
Reynolds, Robert Simmergren and Roy Main. His professional career began at the age of twenty one with the Disneyland Band. After three years, steady employment was left behind in pursuit of a freelance career. Since then he has
stayed busy performing with a variety of ensembles from big bands through opera and ballet orchestras. He is a member of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. He teaches trombone at California State
University, Fullerton as well as at the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival in Alaska and his studio at home. In addition to live performance and teaching, Mr. Sanders is active in the recording industry. He has been heard on various
TV shows, such as The Scarecrow and Mrs. King, China Beach, Sledge Hammer, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., Diagnosis Murder, Star Trek Voyager, Deep Space Nine, Tiny Toons, Pinky and the Brain, Histeria and others. He has
played on two hundred or so motion picture scores, including: Titanic, Wild, Wild West, Deep Impact, My Favorite Martian, Lethal Weapon IV, Ransom, Apollo 13, Godzilla, Soldier, The Mask of Zorro, Mighty Joe Young, Lost in Yonkers,
