Andy Malloy

Andy Malloy originally from New Hampshire and attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. While there he studied with Larry Weed and Joseph Duchi. Graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music Ed. Afther graduation attended The Juilliard School for two years and received Master of Music in trombone performance. While at Juilliard Andy Malloy studied with Per Brevig. Upon completion of his masters he studied occasionally with Ed Herman, then principal trombone of the New York Philharmonic.

Andy Malloy moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and very slowly began to work in the area.
At this time, in addition to any recording work he is also a member of the Pasadena Symphony, principal trombone of Santa Barbara and New West Symphonies and work as a free lance musician with most other ensembles in the greater Los Angeles area.In the last 16 years participateted in the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival.
